Entre deux projets m’est venue l’idée de créer une expérience vidéoludique à partir d’anciens assets réalisés en 2018 que j’ai retrouvés récemment dans mes archives.

Cette scène représente un moment particulier de mon enfance. Après avoir passé le week-end chez mon père, nous prenions la route en direction de Caen pour qu’il me ramène chez ma mère. 

La vision récurrente de ma ville natale et de son imposant CHU à l’horizon, durant les soirs d’été, m’a fortement imprégné. Ce jeu en est la retranscription.

En ce qui concerne le développement, j’ai inclus un effet d’écran cathodique, sur lequel je travaille depuis quelque temps maintenant, dont le rendu repose sur le téléviseur grand public Sony Trinitron KV-M1440B, que j’ai en ma possession et qui m’a permis d’avoir une référence authentique. À mes yeux, sa présence renforce la dimension nostalgique de la scène.

Between two projects, I had the idea to create a video game experience from old assets made in 2018 that I recently found in my archives.

This scene represents a particular moment from my childhood. After spending the weekend at my father's house, we were driving towards Caen so he could take me back to my mother's house.

The recurring sight of my hometown and its CHU hospital on the horizon, during summer evenings influenced me deeply. This game is a reflection of that.

Regarding the development, I included a CRT screen effect, which I've been working on for some time now. The rendering is based on the Sony Trinitron KV-M1440B consumer television, which I own and which provided an authentic reference. In my opinion, its presence enhances the nostalgic feel of the scene.
